Greetings from LA!
En er is weer een nieuw blog bericht. Momenteel zit Tarja in LA en niet voor vakantie. Ze is aan het werk met Jim, Slamm en Bart in de Remote Control Studios. Ze proberen de orkeststukken af te krijgen en ze zijn aan het discuseren over het mixen van de nummers. Iets wat we niet van Tarja gewend zijn is dat ze iets zegt over haar mening van wat er buiten haar carriere of muziek gaat. Maar toch doet ze dat dit keer. There was just a while ago a terrible earthquake in Haiti, followed by other one in Japan and later on in Chile and more recently in Turkey. It’s just so unbelievable to think all the suffering and trouble that people need to go through in their lives. I am truly speechless and sad. Except for Haiti, I have been in the other countries were I have met lovely people. Is difficult to think that some of them or their families might have been reached by the horrible situation. I am just having them in my thoughts. I send them all my humble and honest love and prayers. This is the sad reminder for all of us to live our lives as best as we can every day, so that when it’s our time to go, we die alive. You will never know what is waiting for you tomorrow, so today is the day to cherish. |
What will Tarja play at Opera-Rock Show?
In recent days we received the proposed setlist of the Classic and Divine show from the management of Tarja and we have also received the first orchestral scores as well. While the setlist is a secret of course, we cannot stand to share some pieces of information with Tarja fans all around the world. Maybe it is not an exaggeration to write that Tarja will perform an amazing, really memorable musical program on the stage of Miskolc Ice Hall. The selected songs cover career of Tarja so far, and it seems to us that she really wants to please the fans. This applies not only her own songs, but also the rock covers, we are sure that they will cause huge surprises for everyone. In the classical pieces Tarja will show her other side, that she can sing beautiful and difficult arias effortlessly. We are quite positive that everyone will regret missing the show. At the same time we would like to draw attention to the fact that the reduced priced tickets can be purchased only for 3 weeks, until the 1st of April at the website of Ticket Express, here. It is worth hurrying up, because tickets sales are exceeding our expectations and there is a real possibility that the show will be sold out before the concert day. |

Back in “business”
Tarja is de laatste paar dagen enorm druk bezig geweest met het opnemen van de vocalen. Zes liedjes zijn nu klaar met triljoenen van achtergrond koortjes en tarja's koor. Alles gaat goed en slechts enkele elementen moeten nog toegevoegd worden. Ze heeft de laatste tijd niet veel gepost omdat ze het te druk heeft met alles componeren en zingen. Voor de openingstrack heeft Tarja een grote verrassing voor ons. De track heet “Anteroom of Death” en dit liedje zal ons schokken. Tarja houdt van het theater en dit zal hierin heel goed terug te vinden zijn. Tarja kan niet wachten totdat dit album klaar is en onze gezichten kan zien als we dit horen. Scorpions 'The Good Die Young"
German hard rock veterans Scorpions will release their final studio album, "Sting In The Tail", on March 19th. The CD was recorded at a studio in Hanover, Germany with Swedish producers Mikael "Nord" Andersson and Martin Hansen. The album will include a guest appearance of Tarja in the song “The Good Die Young” that has been also chosen for the first single from the album and will be available starting February 26th. After the release of the album and a three-year mammoth tour, which will take the Scorpions across five continents, the band will end its career. The group broke the news on its web site last month. “It is such an honor to be invited to take part in the Scorpions last album. I received a phone call from Klaus that was very kind to extend the band’s wishes to have me performing one of their songs. I was not aware it was going to be their last recordings until they announce it, so I have mixed feeling of happiness and bit of sadness too when I got the news. I can only thank them for the invitation and for letting me be a part of their last effort as a band. I am sure they will keep this particular album in their hearts the same way the fans and I will do” - Tarja. |

Volgende week is er op de site van Opera Rock Show het eerste deel van een exclusief interview met Tarja te vinden. Doordat het een lang interview is zal het in delen op de site terug te vinden te zijn. Ze spreekt over d'r aankomende album 'What Lies Beneath', haar samenwerking met Scorpions, de voorbereiding van het concert tijdens Opera Rock Show en nog veel meer dingen. |
Piano Recording Session
 Tarja heeft voor het eerst zelf pianotracks opgenomen. De nummers zijn: "U" en "TAOLD". Deze nummers zijn opgenomen met een Bechstein piano. Ze ziet zichzelf niet als een pianist dus hoopt dat andere haar zo ook niet zien. Ondertussen is er weer een orkest stuk binnengekomen. En ze heeft de tekst ingezongen van het lied dat als één van de eerste singles van het album uitgebracht kan gaan worden. Ze heeft nu afscheid genomen van de Pentrax-studio en neemt even wat rust voordat ze weer verder gaat met het opnemen van de zang. En om ons bezig te houden heeft ze weer een klein stukje lyrics bekend gemaakt: Who can change this memory? Orchestra arrangement
Gisteren was een rustige dag in de studio en het is een goed gevoel om te beseffen dat sommige nummers al klaar zijn en dat ze alleen nog maar hoeft te zingen voor die nummers. Tarja heeft geprobeerd om dezelfde microfoon te krijgen die ze bij vorige opnames heeft gebruikt, maar die was niet meer te krijgen in Finland. Gisteren is ze dus heel veel microfoons gaan testen omdat niet elke microfoon geschikt is voor haar stem. Ze zoekt een microfoon die haar hoge noten kan opnemen maar ook de warmere nummers. Tarja gaat in 2 studios zingen. In Petrax gaat ze de "rock" nummers opnemen en in El Pie worden de meer filmachtige nummers opgenomen. Vandaag is Marzi Nyman naar de studio gekomen. Marzi heeft ook gespeeld op de kerstconcerten. Marzi kan heel goed stemmingen vastleggen net zoals Doug met de bass dat kan. Het eerst orkest arrangement is ook vandaag gekomen en het klinkt geweldig. Precies zoals Tarja het wou hebben. Vandaag heeft Tarja het nummer LL gezongen en dat is beslist het zwaarste nummer op het album.    |
International Winter Storm Official Fanclub meeting
Het terugkerende onderwerp om een internationale meeting te houden van de Winterstorm Official Fanclub. Goedemiddag Tarja fans! Wij zijn blij dat er veel enthousiasme is omtrent het Classic and Divine concert van Tarja. Onze taak is om een uniek concert te organiseren dat waardig is. Om een internationale meeting te houden van de Officiele fanclubs was een terugkerend onderwerp op verschillende forums en sinds het erop lijkt dat er veel verschillende fans komen uit verschillende landen is dit de ideale locatie. Om dit te organiseren is het leuk als veel mensen mee kunnen doen. We zijn nu aan het kijken of er genoeg mensen interesse in hebben om dit te gaan doen. Wij bieden het volgende: In het begin van Mei gaan we de ticket verkoop bekijken en als we zien dat op zijn minst 100-150 fans komen uit ten minste 10 verschillende landen dan samen met de hongaarse fanclub zal het een geslaagd feest worden. In dit geval kunnen wij een geschikte locatie regelen en dan kunnen we brainstormen over een geschikt programma voor de fanclubs. Om dit te bereiken kan je het volgende doen. Hoe eerder je je kaartje koop op ticket express of het europese netwerk van Eventim hoe beter het zij kunnen helpen. De kaartjes zijn heel redelijk geprijsd en kosten rond de 25,- euro. Deze prijs is gemaakt zodat het voor iedereen betaalbaar is. Dus maak je keuze en we gaan er een geweldig uitje van maken! We are happy to see the ethusiasmn towards Classic and Divine concert of Tarja. Our job is exactly this: to organise a unique concert that proves to be worthy for all this interest. Doing an international Winter Storm Official Fanclub meeting became a returning topic at different forums since it is already very likely that many foreign fans will come from all over the world. We have been also thinking about it and we came to the following conclusion: organising an event of this kind makes sense if many people participate. It would not be nice for anybody to announce an organised meeting where only few people would turn up. So we decided that we are ready to ensure a background for such happening if we see that enough people are interested. Our „offer” is the following: in the beginning of May we are going to review the ticket sales and if we see that at least 100-150 fans will come from at least 10 countries, then – together with the Hungarian fanclubs - it is likely that it will not be a failure. In this case we can offer a suitable place, technical equipments, and we can start brainstorming about the program together with the fanclubs. In order to achieve this you fans can do the most. The earlier you buy your tickets at Ticket Express or in the European network of Eventim, the more likely it is going we are going to be able to help. The ticket prices are very friendly by European standards, since they cost only around 25 Euros before April 1, and 30 Euros after that. Guitar recordings finished!
Op het album van Tarja komen 11-12 nummers te staan. Ze heeft genoeg materiaal voor 17 nummers, maar die kunnen niet allemaal op het album. Alex is klaar met zijn opnames en keert terug naar Duitsland. Het gaat nu alleen nog om de chello gedeeltes en keyboard. Max is vandaag gekomen om samen met 3 mensen van Lahti Symphony Orchestra een kwartet te maken.    |
